The expertise of the US Airways pilot helped in miraculously saving all 146 passengers and 5 crew when the engines of Airbus A320 were presumably hit by a flock of birds soon after take-off from LGA at 3.11 pm.
The pilot said to have asked passengers to brace for a crash landing on the chilly waters of Hudson River within 6 minutes of its taking off. All passengers were rescued by the coast guards.
The sunken aircraft was lifted off the waters of River Hudson.
