You may brand me sarcastic but I can't help mentioning this hard fact I had been witnessing during the past 2 weeks in this part of emirate where I work.
.While residents suffered and day to day business crawled during frequent power cuts in this part, the street lights were surprizingly burning not just one day but for a couple of days till yesterday, probably due to a faulty day light sensor. Today I see them off, so I wonder whether there is some change, a positive one.
.A known friend of mine said his nephew along with his small family was taking refuge in a car during these power cuts. In addition to the absence of cool comforts within the secure walls of flat, just imagine the amount of fuel to be spent to run the car engine while the airconditioner needs to be kept on!
.
It will be a sheer cheer for the residents the time it will be declared 'it's all over, no power cuts anymore'!
