There are 50 or just above 50 elephants in this picture.
I think this is a rare assembly of elephants in so many numbers. This picture was taken by a student from U.A.E. who visited Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage in Kandy, Srilanka and is published in Gulf News.

The Elephant is considered to be the largest land mammal.
Blue whale is accepted as the largest animal on Earth in terms of size and volume. Blue whales are as big as 30 Meters in length and the largest blue whale ever weighed was 210Ton. They literally roam the oceans of the world, and are also considered to be seriously endangered. Blue whales may be among the largest animals on Earth to exist ever, as they are larger than any of the dinosaurs were.

Amongst the other largest animals on Earth are, sea going creatures such as the Lions Mane Jelly, which can actually grow to be longer than a Blue Whale. The Japanese Spider Crabs, Colossal Squids in the Oceans etc. could be quite large in sizes. Given the large portions of the ocean which remain unexplored, it is possible that there are more large organisms hanging around in the depths of the ocean.

While African bush elephants may be the largest mammals on the land, hippopotamus are close behind. Saltwater crocodiles are the largest reptiles on Earth, and the Chinese Giant Salamander has the title of largest amphibian. Birds are represented by the Ostrich, and the Goliath beetle is the largest insect.
